Doshas

Thai Partner Yoga Therapy takes in the whole person.

Are you a person that is always cold? Maybe you're a predominant Vata or Kapha dosha.
Are you often hot? Maybe your predominant dosha is Pitta.

Depending on your dosha, certain things come naturally. While we all have every type of dosha within us, there is often a predominant or two predominant doshas within us.
Kaphas, symbolized by earth and water, often have an easy time grounding and being stable. They are born nurtures.
Pittas, symbolized by fire and water, have a drive that gets things done, but it can also burn them out if left unbalanced.
Vatas, symbolized by air and space, have brilliant minds, but may have difficulty slowing those same minds down in a meditation.

Thai Partner Yoga Therapy works with all the doshas in their unique quantities in each person and brings them to their natural state of balance, leaving you feeling whole and complete.

Sen lines

Sen lines are energy channels throughout the body and said to be the places the spirit is stitched into the body. They are the precursors to chinese meridians.

Sen line work feels amazing and it is startling when I've had a back up of energy flow, how incredibly sensitive certain spots are along those lines.

Working these lines, along with the balancing of the marmas (precursors of the accupressure points of chinese medicine) is what truly gives Thai Partner Yoga Therapy its therapuetic power to balance and energize the whole person.

Marmas of the feet

Mmmm!

Why does it feel so good to get those feet massaged, pressed, or worked on in Thai Partner Yoga Therapy???

The nerves of the feet happen to have communication with those same nerves that innervate every organ and system of our body...quite the network.

Getting the marma points and sen lines cleared and balanced at the feet brings a lot of goodness to every single part of you! Every Thai Partner Yoga Therapy session starts with the feet, getting the bliss started from minute one.

Foot work, please!

Marmas of the head

There are so many glorious marmas of the head. Notice how naturally your hands are drawn to your head marmas to provide relief after a long day, a stressful interaction, tired eyes. Pressing the points the body calls for will bring you back into balance.
One of my favorite parts of Thai Partner Yoga Therapy is the glorious marma work on my head....oh, it feels so good.
So go ahead, when your body is calling for a little head attention, press, rub, and soothe away!
